Communications

Non-Integrated Patient Outreach Manager

With this release, non-integrated and HL7-integrated healthcare organizations can now send Health Campaigns to all patients for whom they have contact information, regardless of whether those patients already exist in the Phreesia system.

This new version of POM allows even more healthcare organizations to use Health Campaigns, a product that lets you send templated and customizable content to patients via text message or email—anytime, anywhere. You can use Health Campaigns to:

  • Improve quality metrics by targeting patients who are overdue for care and prompting them to schedule a visit
  • Increase visit volume by sharing information about new services and sending scheduling reminders
  • Improve staff efficiency by streamlining outreach and reducing time spent on the phone
  • Engage patients between visits by sharing practice updates, educational content and more

To enable this feature or learn more about Health Campaigns, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.

Patient Registration

Simplified training options available from the Dashboard

We have simplified the options available for you to access your Phreesia University training.  Instead of two separate links, there will now be a single ‘Phreesia University’ link on the Dashboard that directs users to their assigned training(s).

This update will help improve staff adherence to training modules, enabling you to have better success with our products.

This will be immediately available upon release.

Updates to user email change notifications

With this release, you can now specify which members of your staff should be notified about user information changes.

Users with the “Edit Practice Users” permission can affect this setting by navigating to User Management > Settings and defining a list of email addresses that should receive user change notifications.

This will be immediately available upon release.

Appointments

Improvements to Appointment Accelerator reply messages

We’ve made some changes to the reply message that patients receive via Appointment Accelerator to enhance clarity and reduce call volumes.

Now, if a patient claims an offer for an earlier appointment slot that is no longer available, Appointment Accelerator will send a reply message that includes the patient’s current appointment time whenever it can confirm that the patient still has their current appointment. This change will help minimize patient confusion and reduce their likelihood of calling the office for assistance.

This is available as of April 27. If you are not currently using Appointment Accelerator and are interested in learning more, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.

Improvements to the Appointment Accelerator Bumps product

We’ve made multiple improvements to Appointment Accelerator’s Bumps product, which was released on April 13.

Accelerator will now offer each patient a different appointment timeslot when a staff member bumps multiple patients at the same time (or within a 10-minute window). Each unique open slot will be temporarily “locked” for 10 minutes to ensure patients have enough time to claim the appointment before it is offered to another patient. After 10 minutes have passed, the slot will be automatically unlocked and may be sent to a different patient.

Since implementing this change, we have seen 3x more patients successfully rescheduling their appointment without staff intervention.

If you are not currently using Appointment Accelerator and are interested in learning more, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.

Analytics

Enhancements to the Appointment Request Report

We’ve made new analytics available in the Appointment Request Report for features that were recently added regarding referral method and referral status in Connect and the Appointments Hub.

This will be immediately available upon release.

Content

Updated education screen for SDOH screening tools

In this release, we’ve updated the education screen that prefaces all our standard (e.g., global) SDOH screening tools.

The refreshed screen is more concise, offers improved readability and speed and will give patients a consistent intake experience when they encounter SDOH screening tools. The content is written at 5th grade reading level and will be leveraged with the SDOH tools Phreesia already offers.

This will be automatically deployed to all global SDOH screening tools.

Educate patients at scale with new outreach templates

With this release, we offer four new and updated global Health campaign templates:

  • Pediatric Dental Visit Recall
  • Tips for Managing Spring Allergies
  • Stroke Awareness Month
  • Mental Health Awareness Month

These templates can be sent to patients through the Patient Outreach Management tool in the Dashboard.

New global interviews for screening bilateral hip/knee joint concerns

We now offer a new option for the HOOS-JR and KOOS-JR global interviews. These new versions can be used to assess both right and left joints in the same interview.

We highly recommend using the global versions of these interviews so you can leverage the best implementation of the HOOS and KOOS on Phreesia and are set up for success with high-quality data.

These new interview options were built in accordance with the source documentation and will be kept up to date. Discrete integration varies by market, so reach out to your Phreesia representative to learn more.

New global interviews for depression screenings

We’ve added two new options to our Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ) suite of content, the PHQ-4 and PHQ-8. As with all PHQ content, these options allow you to screen patients with anxiety (PHQ-4) and depression symptoms (PHQ-4 or PHQ-8).

We highly recommend using the global versions of these interviews so you can leverage the best implementation of the PHQ on Phreesia and are set up for success with high-quality data. The PHQ-4 interview also discretely integrates with Athena.

These new interview options were built in accordance with the source documentation and will be kept up to date. Discrete integration varies by market, so reach out to your Phreesia representative to learn more.

Updates to MOON and IM policies

The Medicare Outpatient Observation Notice (MOON) and Important Message from Medicare (IM) policies have received OMB approval and have updated content available for use. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that policy updates be implemented no later than April 27.

As such, we’ve updated our standard MOON and IM templates for healthcare organizations to use. This helps to ensure that organizations using these policies are using the most up-to-date policy content.

To use these templates, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.
