The Patient Activation Measure® (PAM®) Performance Measure for MIPS-participating providers

The Patient Activation Measure (PAM) measures patients’ knowledge, skills and confidence in self-managing their health. Increasing patient activation has been shown to improve health outcomes, reduce costs and increase patient satisfaction.

Click the Resources tab to the right to view the research behind the PAM, training materials, the performance measure specification and more.

PAM is now available for MIPS-participating providers for performance year 2024. Registering at the site below will allow participants in the MIPS program to access the PAM survey and supplementary materials, which are provided at no cost to MIPS-participating clinicians by Phreesia, the measure steward.

Additional training resources, translations of the survey and other supplementary materials will be available here soon.
