Appointments

MediFind Appointments Hub Integration (BETA)

To help providers see more new patients, we now integrate appointment requests submitted through MediFind directly into your Phreesia Appointments Hub.

This fall, organizations using the Phreesia Appointments Hub will see a standard MediFind appointment request form automatically added to your provider profiles. After patients complete and submit a MediFind appointment request, you’ll see their request in the Appointments Hub in the Phreesia Dashboard.

In the coming months, we’ll send a “Claim Your Profile” link to all providers using this feature. We ask that you claim and update these profiles to ensure patients see the most up-to-date information. Updated profiles will also receive “Verified” checkmarks.

This feature is currently available only to BETA program clients. If you are interested in learning more about this functionality or joining the BETA program, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.

Appointment Forms Bulk Translating Updates

We released a new multilanguage translation feature in 23.11, but the only way to add or edit translations for custom content was via the edit overlay. Now, your organization can add translations via Microsoft Excel and upload them in bulk.

You can download .csv files of missing or outdated translations, input the translations in Excel and upload the new .csv files to the Dashboard translation tool. That will load all new translations into the patient appointment forms.

This feature will be immediately available.

Appointments Hub: Multi-Time Zone Scheduled Appointment Information

Does your organization operate over multiple time zones? Good news: We’ve improved the way scheduled appointment information is displayed in the Appointments Hub.

Scheduled appointment information previously displayed based on default location time zone; now, it will automatically display based on the scheduled location time zone.

This improvement will be immediately available to all organizations.

Clinical

PAM-PM for MIPS

The Patient Activation Measure® performance measure (PAM-PM) tracks a patient’s improvement in activation over time, and it’s been proposed as a new 2024 MIPS Quality Measure. If your organization will be reporting MIPS in 2024, PAM-PM may be a good fit for you—and it’s available now at no cost as part of your existing Phreesia offering.

Phreesia will handle the heavy lifting to collect the necessary data throughout the year and provide you with a file when it’s time to report. Your organization will earn 7-10 points when it’s submitted in addition to your top six measures.

If you are eligible for traditional MIPS, contact us for more information.

PAM-10 and PAM-13 Integration for athena

With this release, a patient’s PAM-10 and PAM-13 scores will discretely integrate into the screening section of their chart alongside their other patient-reported outcomes (PROs).

This feature is only available to organizations using athena. For additional details or enablement instructions, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.

Payments

Off-Hours Payment Request Notification Warning

Some state regulations prohibit debt-collection activities occurring outside of the window of 8AM–9PM in the resident’s time zone. As a result, Phreesia strongly recommends that healthcare organizations send payment messages only within the hours of 11AM–8PM ET.

To make it easier to follow the recommendation, we’ll now display a warning message when a user’s Dashboard activity would send a payment request outside of the 11AM–8PM ET window.

These warnings will begin to appear immediately upon release.

Content

New PHR: Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire Module

We now offer a standardized set of questions that providers can use for Medicare beneficiaries to determine if Medicare is their primary or secondary payer.

Depending on how the patient answers, a Dashboard icon will alert staff if the primary payer for services is Medicare or another party by displaying the appropriate value code.

For additional details or enablement instructions, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.

New PHR: Vaccine Information Statement Modules

To help you educate patients on the benefits and risks of receiving vaccines—as well as how to report any adverse events—we’re updating our Vaccine Information Statements (VISs) to align with the latest versions from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. All VISs are available in both English and Spanish.

Patients are asked to attest to seeing the VIS, which can save organizations time in distributing the VIS at the appointment.

Updates:

  • DTaP, Hib, HepB, Polio, PCV13
  • Pneumococcal Conjugate PCV13
  • Hepatitis B

  • PHR: HAQ-II

  • PHR: HAQ-SDI

The questionnaires can help you understand how rheumatic diseases affect your patients and determine how you may adjust treatment plans to improve symptoms and quality of life.

For additional details or enablement instructions, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.

New PHR: Pain Disability Index Module

We now offer the Pain Disability Index to measure the effects that chronic pain has on a patient’s ability to participate in essential life activities.

New PHR: ADL and IADLS Questionnaires

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) are an important part of the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit assessment. To help you collect that information, we’ve added several ADL and IADL questionnaires to our library of content.

ADL: This 12-question tool assesses patients’ levels of independence across various activities.

Katz ADL: This 6-question tool assesses patients’ levels of independence across various activities.

Lawton-Brody IADL: This 8-question tool assesses independent living skills.

For additional details or enablement instructions, please reach out to your Phreesia representative.

New PHR: ASES Module

We now offer the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Score (ASES) to assess pain and activities of daily living for shoulder-related injuries and diseases.

Update to PHR: Sliding Fee Scale Introduction Screen

Update to RAPID-3 Printout Layout

We will be updating the RAPID-3 printout so that the results section is at the top, followed by the patient-facing questions-and-answers and scoring rules.

This update will be immediately available on September 28, 2023.
