Simplify patient billing with VoiceAI
What’s new: VoiceAI can now explain outstanding patient balances and collect payments during automated phone calls. After verifying a patient’s identity, VoiceAI walks them through their charges, including visit dates, descriptions and amounts due. Patients can then pay using a card on file or receive a secure payment link.
How this helps you: Reduce routine billing calls and free up staff time while making it easier for patients to understand and pay their bills. By answering billing questions and offering payment options in the same conversation, VoiceAI helps streamline collections and improve the patient experience.
Next step: Available to all organizations currently using VoiceAI and Phreesia Bill Pay.
Make insurance registration easier with automated card scanning
What’s new: Phreesia can now automatically capture key insurance information when patients take or upload a photo of their insurance card during registration. Insurance provider and member or policy ID details are prepopulated, so patients can simply review and confirm their information.
How this helps you: Create a faster, easier registration experience while reducing manual data entry and improving insurance information accuracy. More accurate information helps minimize eligibility issues and administrative rework.
Early adopters saw 3% more patients arrive with eligible insurance compared with the standard photo-only workflow.
🚀 EARLY ACCESS
Automate payment reminders after patient visits
What’s new: Automated Check-Out Payments sends patients a payment reminder the morning after their visit if they haven’t paid their outstanding balance. Each reminder includes a direct link to pay, and outreach can be customized by charge type, location, appointment type and provider.
How this helps you: Encourage timely payments and reduce manual follow-up. Automated reminders help your organization collect outstanding balances while allowing staff to focus on other priorities.
Speed up referral scheduling with automated appointment requests
What’s new: Phreesia Referral Automation can now automatically create appointment requests from incoming referral faxes. Requests appear in the Appointments Hub queue, ready for scheduling, without requiring staff to manually open and submit each fax. A color-coded AI indicator helps identify information that may need additional review.
How this helps you: Reduce manual data entry and accelerate referral processing so your team can schedule patients sooner. This enhancement helps your organization manage higher referral volumes without increasing administrative workload.
Analytics
Get more from Analytics with expanded reporting fields and filters
What’s new: We’ve added new capabilities across Provider Analytics to give your team more ways to view, filter and analyze reporting data.
- Patient Payments: New Wallet Type, Memo and Card Present fields provide additional payment detail. Provider Name and Staff Name global filters make it easier to refine results. Payment Source now displays recognizable payment channels, and card-on-file data includes Card Status and Expiry Date.
- Patient Intake: Telehealth visits now display as Telehealth in the Patient Intake report and extract, making it easier to distinguish virtual visits from other appointment types.
- Patient Insights: An updated interface improves usability and access to survey data, with expanded attributes and filters across all sections.
How this helps you: Spend less time pulling and reconciling reports. New fields and filters give your team faster access to the payment, intake and survey data that drives day-to-day decisions.
Next step: This enhancement is automatically available for all organizations using Phreesia Analytics.
Dashboard
Review and export location information more efficiently
What’s new: The Locations page now features a more compact layout, making it easier to view more locations at once. A new Export button also allows staff to download location information as a CSV file, including location names, identifiers, addresses, contact details, status and time zones.
The export includes all locations available to the user, regardless of the current search filter or table page.
How this helps you: Spend less time navigating location lists and simplify reporting, audits and information sharing with convenient CSV exports.
Next step: This enhancement is automatically available for all organizations.
Communication
Simplified consent to communicate experience
What’s new: We’ve upgraded the standard module for collecting patient consent to text and voice communications. The updated module uses clearer, simplified language and gives patients the flexibility to opt in to payment messages, marketing messages or both. Patient responses are available in the Consent Monitoring Report.
How this helps you: Give patients a clearer, easier consent experience while keeping your organization aligned with TCPA best practices. Organizations that previously collected consent for payments and marketing together can now offer them separately, and consent data is available through self-service reporting without a support request.
Next step: This feature will be automatically available. Organizations using the Legacy or Group Based consent modules will be upgraded to the new version.
