Form Catalog Search

Catalog Screen IconSince the other areas of the catalog only show filtered lists of the catalog's contents based on the publication life cycle of its forms, this area is provided in order to allow you to quickly find any forms in the catalog regardless of publication status.  This can be especially useful if your catalog contains a large number of forms and you don't know its publication status.

To navigate to the Form Search screen, select Search from the Catalog tab.

Using the Form Search Screen

The search function associated with this screen looks for any forms that have a title or description containing a full or partial match on the value that you use as a search phrase.  (The title and description of a form are specified when the form version is uploaded into Formatta E-Forms Manager and may be changed in the Edit Form Details screen).

To use the search, enter a value into the Search Term field and click the Search button.  (If you want to see a list of all the forms in the catalog, leave the search term field empty and click the Search button.)

If any forms are found in the catalog whose title or description contain the search term (or if you searched for all forms), each matching form version will be displayed in the results list.  Note that the list will show all versions of a form that contain a match, so you may see multiple results with the same form title, but with different version-specific information.

The list of search results will show display:

Clicking on any row in the search results list will bring you to the Form Details of the form version you have selected.
