Action buttons execute form commands that are invoked by the person filling out your form. Form authors can place an Action button anywhere on the form, and can select from a list of pre-defined commands that will be performed when the button is clicked in Formatta Filler.
For example, when a "Send" button is pressed, the form will automatically be emailed to the address specified by the form author. Other action button commands include:
Save
Post
Validate
Hyperlink
and many others
Action buttons can greatly speed up and simplify form filling and processing by automating a great variety of tasks. By adding multiple commands to an Action button, a single click can perform as many actions as you specify.
Note: As a security precaution, only commands defined by Formatta can be included on a form.
Action buttons can even be customized with pictures and logos to create a standard corporate look.
Select the Action Button tool on the Object Toolbar and draw a button on your form.
Edit the button text and then double-click to add Commands.
